As you can see, I like to talk a lot about being strong. You will see me doing crazy strongman training where I lift and throw weird objects around just for the hell of it.
I think you get the general idea that I despise weakness.
One thing though, I did not talk about much lately because I easily get distracted with current events going on in the world, is that it is not just about lifting the heaviest weights or hitting the newest PR’s.
What is important is having a good and correct posture in order for you to do all this lifting safely.
This is the foundation you must have where everything else builds upon.
Everything starts here.
And it is one of the most typical issues being overlooked when you go to a standard globo-gym or when hiring a standard fitness coach.
Most fitness coaches simply do not have the knowledge when it comes down to this.
Most fitness coaches will just copy-paste you some standard training program without taking in consideration of potential postural deficiencies you might have.
Todays fitness industry has applied a No Pain-No Gain-mentality, where it is all about mindlessly moving weights around.
This is not the approach I am taking.
When I work with clients, I am taking a more conservative approach.
I want my clients to train mindful and intelligently.
The strongest body and overall health can only be achieved when you take in consideration your postural deficiencies, work on them first, build on that and take the next step.
Because if you don’t work on these first, this will open the door to more problems further down the road.
And believe me, most people today have these deficiencies.
Our modern way of living has resulted in most people having some form of Forward Head Posture, Pelvic Tilt, Kyphosis or Lordosis, just to name a few.
In the next couple of weeks I will be digging a little deeper in a few common postural deficiencies and what you can do to fix them.
This I must take in consideration when designing a training program.
So look out for my future posts.
