Build Grips Like Bricks

It is commonly known that men today have weaker grips compared to their ancestors.

If you google a bit, you will find articles pointing to studies that have been done, that the grip of a present day male is up to 20% weaker than a male in 1985.

I have noticed, whenever I go into the villages of my parents home countries Croatia and Bosnia and I shake an elders hand, I have the feeling I am grabbing to hot steel and that this old man could break my fingers in two without blinking if he wanted. Even the elder women have unbelievably firm grips.

But then when I go out into the „modern world“ and shake a man’s hand, it feels like I am grabbing onto a cold wet sponge or even shaking the hand of a little girl.

It is obvious where the problem lies. A hundred years ago, people were working their lands, physical work from morning til evening. They have grown their own food and raised their own cattle. They were working in coal mines and building railroads.

The grip strength is a metaphor of how weak we are becoming and have become as a society.

Today, our society is filled with social-justice-warriors, Netflix-experts and keyboard-masters and we are wondering what would happen if China wanted to invade the west?

But that’s a topic for some other time…

THE FARMERS WALK is one of the best things you can utilize if you want to build up your grip strength. It is called like that because it mimics what you do everyday on a farm. You pick shit up and you go.

This way you will build up your grip strength so it feels like someone is holding onto iron!

So having a firm grip, whenever a man comes to shake your hand, he will instantly know, the moment he shakes it, that you are not to be messed with.

You will earn the most respect in a tribe of men if you have the strongest grip.

And also, the girls will melt when they feel the hands of a strong man taking them into their arms. They will feel protected and comforted. This is just a nice side effect.
